Awards
Every year, NHA donates award money to juried fairs and events for handspun skein contests. If you would be interested in having an NHA-sponsored award at your event, here’s what you need to do:
- First, complete the Award Application Form and send it to your State Representative.
- The State Representative will get approval from the NHA Board of Directors and notify you when it has been approved.
- The State Representative will then send you the necessary paperwork.
- You are required to post a small sign about NHA sponsorship (included in your paperwork packet) at the site of the contest. In addition, if possible, a mention of the NHA sponsorship in your Fair program (if there is one) would also be appreciated.
- When the contest is juried and the winner announced, the event organizer gives the winner an envelope which includes instructions for completing the paperwork and receiving the award money.
- The winner fills out the necessary paperwork and sends it directly to the NHA Treasurer.
- The NHA Treasurer then sends the award money directly to the winner.
